Eleanor Duckworth is a cognitive psychologist, constructivist educator and Professor of Education at Harvard Graduate School of Education.  A former student and translator of Jean Piaget, Duckworth's focus is on the nature and development of understanding.  She has taken the research method of Piaget and Inhelder and developed it into the teaching/research approach known as Critical Exploration in the Classroom.  Her interest is in the experiences of teaching and learning of people of all ages, both in and out of schools
